Red Letter Day

January 16th, 2008

So I’ve got an iPhone. I know, I know, I’m pretty cool. But ever since I’ve gotten it in September, it’s not scrobbled properly to my last.fm page, due to the way it mounts in iTunes. A couple weeks ago I heard about an app called MobileScrobbler that scrobbles over your iPhone’s data connection. I was pretty stoked (really? stoked? is that even a word any more?) and attempted to install it, but it needed a newer iPhone firmware than I had. I attempted to upgrade and then ‘jailbreak’ my phone…

And that’s when things started to go south.

I just couldn’t get the blasted thing to work so I gave up. Went back to a plain jane iPhone. No games, no fun,. Last night I tried again, and fates smiled upon me. Not only is my iPhone scrobbling as I type this, I now have ‘Shuffle By Album’ on my phone, which is probably the number one feature that I missed from my old iPod.
