Tempermentalture

May 16th, 2007

This past Monday: 90 degrees outside.
Overheard: “90 degrees in May? If this doesn’t prove global warming, I don’t know what does!”

Today: 55 degrees.
Not Overheard:”55 degrees in May? If this doesn’t disprove global warming, I don’t know what does!”

Don’t you know? That’s the beauty of the global warming debate. ANY weather that occurs is tied to global warming. The nature of WEATHER is variation and unpredictability, always has been.

Its also the nature of jazz…

I only have one thought when I hear people complaining about the wide variation in weather here: welcome to Minnesota. Anybody who’s lived here more than 5 minutes knows anything can happen with the weather.

BTW – I don’t feel globally warmer. But then again, I work in an air-conditioned office.

Aaron, you got style man. Good blurb.

I think that this highlights the major problem with mobilizing a lot of people to do something about global warming. People only seem believe it’s a problem when they feel hot. And it’s only going to be hot so often due to the nature of weather, as somebody has already pointed out.
