Judging by the article Hintgen forwarded me, it seems that way. The guy in charge was asked if he’d simply be brought back to life when it was convenient as so many other heroes have been. He responded, saying that he instructed his writers to only kill characters if their deaths would be meaningful, because he, too, thought too many were being killed and resurrected as gimmicks. His overall tone made it sound like Captain America is definately dead, at the very least, for a long time.

Do you really think they’re not going to bring him back? I mean, they’re making a movie about his character, how can they not cash in?
